Here at Silverdollar ranch we have our "Critters" that are part of our family.  Here are some pictures of some that reside here at Silverdollar ranch.

Above is a common sight in the morning.  Elvis (the dog) sleeps with the goats and chickens every night.  In the morning they are waiting for someone to open the gate to let them roam free for the day.   

Above we see Daisy, Mary and Star.  They are in charge of weed control.

Above we see our three ladies that are responsible for the eggs on the right.  In the nest is what they did in just a few days.  An even dozen.  They are Rhode Island Red hens that are free range chickens.  They leave the safety of their coop in the mornings and roam where ever they want, living off of the land which is free of any pesticides.  For a treat now and then they are given a handful of organic feed.  When darkness comes they return to the safety of their chicken coop.   

Here we find  Cheyenne and Teton helping with the mowing.

IT'S A BOY....Cheyenne and Teton are the parents of a small colt.  Born Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in the early morning.  We looked in the field and found an extra little mouth to feed.
